We have been monitoring the evolving situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and we want to assure you that we are open for business and ready to help with your emergency back-up power needs.
Field Service Technicians are on the road
We have been in constant communication with our vendor partners and, as of this morning, all field service technicians are on the road and completing service work as scheduled. Similarly, the emergency response team for each of our vendor partners remain at the ready so you can remain confident that technicians will be available when, and if, you need them.
Foreign trade disruptions will have a negligible impact
Similarly, we want to assure you that we expect a negligible impact from any trade disruptions that result from temporary closures of overseas suppliers in Asia and Europe. As a vendor-neutral reseller, our diversified product portfolio allows us to offer alternatives for any manufacturers’ products that may be in short supply.
Staff working remotely will stress your network
Many of our customer are reporting that they have asked much or all of their staff to work from home for the next several weeks. Remote staff increases the demand on your network infrastructure and it’s important that each staff member’s connection is protected.
We recommend you take a few minutes to check the UPS equipment backing up your modems, switches and routers. Are the batteries ready to take on the load in the event of a power outage? UPS batteries should be replaced every 3-5 years. Look in on UPS equipment in remote areas and network closets to make sure there aren’t any alarms on the UPS.
