The ultra-wide temperature SSG-RP Industrial UPS has been specifically designed for use in harsh thermal environments. All models have received UL, cUL and CE approval to operate reliably from -30°C to 65°C. Extreme temperature (-40°C to 80°C), 10 year rated batteries are packaged in external  battery banks. Its on-line, double conversion topology provides the maximum level of power quality and protection, even while operating from marginal utility and generator power sources.

Falcon’s SSG-RP UPS is specifically designed with high-grade components, plastics and batteries to provide superior protection in stressful environments. The SSG delivers continuous, clean power required by sensitive microprocessor- based equipment, SCADA, PLCs, VFDs and networks.

Industrial Ultra-wide temperature UPS Operates from -30°C to 65°C (-22°F to 149°F)

The SSG-RP is one of the only UL 1778, UL 508, cUL and CE approved UPSs to operate from -30°C to 65°C, far beyond the limiteds 0°C to 40°C temperature range of office-grade UPSs. In addition, unlike off-line and line-interactive designs, Falcon’s on-line UPS acts as an electronic firewall between the incoming “dirty” power source and your sensitive equipment. Its double-conversion, on-line design regenerates continuous, clean, tightly regulated power regardless of the incoming power anomalies.

10-Year Rated Wide-temperature Batteries

The batteries used inside the UPS were specifically selected due to their wide operational temperature range of -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F), far in excess of the maximum 65°C UPS specification. The batteries have a 10-year service life rating when operated in a normal ambient temperature environment of 25°C.

Optional Frequency Converter

The SSG-RP UPS is factory-configurable for use as a 50Hz or 60Hz frequency converter, making it the ideal choice for worldwide power applications.

RS-232, USB & SNMP/HTTP UPS Management

With the supplied UPSilon software, all models support unattended shutdown, UPS management, data logging and a power diagnostic tool. The software supports Windows® and other major platforms. For UNIX users, UPSilon is available as an option. Falcon also offers an optional SNMP/HTTP agent board.

Remote Emergency Power Off (REPO)

The SSG-RP is equipped with an NFPA-70, NEC 645-11 compliant REPO interface assuring code compliant integration. If REPO is not required, remote output receptacle control is a factory configurable option. This allows outlets to be remotely controlled using a wired connection with a remote switch.

NEMA Rated Enclosures Available

The “ready-to-install” NEMA enclosure works with the Industrial SSG and SSG-RP UPS systems. These outdoor UPS’s are UL, cUL and CE approved to operate in harsh temperature environments of -20°C to 55°C (SSG) and -30°C to 65°C (SSG-RP). The high-grade powder-coated enclosure features forced air cooling and the UPS inside is designed with rugged components and batteries. All size enclosures and many options are available.
