DIN Rail DC UPS

Newmar DIN Rail DC UPSThe Newmar DIN Rail DC UPS, 12V, 24V and 48V DC, powers loads and charges the back-up battery and is ideal for security, wisp, wireless systems, transmitter and enclosure applications.

DIN Rail DC UPS Features

  • Combines all system power functions: power supply, battery charger, UPS circuitry and status monitoring in one compact DIN rail mount unit
  • Dual outputs for load and battery:
    • “Load priority” output distribution ensures power is dedicated first to the load, with remainder then allocated to battery charging, thus preventing a discharged battery from impacting operation of critical loads.
    • 3-step charging for rapid battery recovery, programmable for battery type, with optional temperature compensation sensor
  • Battery automatically supports load anytime AC fails
  • Low voltage disconnect prevents total battery discharge
  • Operates from street light voltage – 277V AC
  • Automatic periodic battery health diagnosis
  • High operating temperature range to 70˚ C
  • Alarm contacts: AC fail, battery at risk
  • Communication MODBUS via RS-485 interface (DIN-UPS 48-10, DIN-UPS 24-20, and DIN-UPS 12-35 models only)
  • CE Approved/Designed to UL 1950

  • Battery abnormal condition (summary contact): Discharged, damaged, disconnected, sulfated/ short circuit, reverse polarity, bad thermal sensor
  • MODBUS Communication (DIN-UPS 48-10, DIN-UPS 24-20, and DIN-UPS 12-35 models only)

Temperature: -25 to +70˚ C. Continuous to 50˚, de-rate 2.5% per ˚C >50˚ C
Cooling: Free air, convection
Reliability (MTBF): 300,000 hours
Efficiency: 91%

Optional Accessories

  • Battery temperature sensor: 100 feet or 3 foot cable lengths
  • Parallel Connection for Redundancy: DIN-UPS units can be paralleled for 1+1 redundancy to obtain a higher system availability. Redundant systems require a certain amount of extra power to support the load in case one DIN-UPS unit fails. The simplest way is to put two DIN-UPS in parallel.
