VRLA Battery Maintenance

Our VRLA Battery Maintenance services will help ensure that your back-up batteries will deliver maximum power when you need it most. As studies indicate, lack of maintenance is the major cause of premature battery failure. While valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries require substantially less attention than traditional “wet” cell batteries, they do require maintenance.

VRLA Battery Maintenance: Planned maintenance programs that work for you

Designed to meet a range of telecommunications, UPS, and switchgear applications, our VRLA Battery Maintenance programs feature Internal Resistance Testing, which can be tailored to meet individual site or customer requirements. EnerSys performs all maintenance procedures recommended per IEEE Standard 1188, including all voltage, resistance, current and temperature measurements, a complete visual inspection, non-destructive impedance or resistance testing and a professional report summarizing the results. EnerSys will also work with you on any recommended course of action that may be necessary to ensure proper operation of your investment.

EnerSys offers two basic levels of planned maintenance services, both of which can be customized to meet your specific needs:

Basic Care – EnerSys performs all quarterly and annual maintenance as required by IEEE Standard 1188. All monthly measurements and inspections are the customer’s responsibility.

Maximum Care – EnerSys handles the total maintenance package, performing all monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance procedures following IEEE Standard 1188.
